Meet Dr. Bart Iwasiuk
It is wonderful to be able to enhance so many lives. My interest in orthodontics was started during my residency at the Children's Hospital in Seattle. There is substantial involvement by an orthodontist when caring for kids with congenital facial deformities. What has amazed me over the years is that the satisfaction with orthodontics is not proportional to the severity of the initial problem. The amount of joy that one can create by straightening one tooth is no lesser or greater than fully reconstructing an individual born with a facial deformity. When it comes right down to it, our smiles are the expression of our happiness to the world, and if I can help in creating some of that happiness, then there is no greater calling.

Outside the Office
I was born in Poland but have been living in Toronto since I was 11. I now reside in Burlington with my wife, Carla, and my kids, Elisha and Abby. We also have a barn cat, Lilo, who thinks she is a princess, and a German shepherd named Stitch. I love to travel, play volleyball, ride mountain bikes, and ski. I have a passion for movies and comic books and would love to re-learn playing the piano. I also coach in my girls soccer league.
